The Educational Opportunity Program genuinely made a positive impact throughout my educational path. I experienced several unforgettable memories with the program; one specific memory that remains with me was the first time I met with my advisor, Yvette Ching. Ching created a welcomed environment and was extremely wholehearted. My first day as a student at San Francisco State University was exceedingly nerve-racking. Once I met and spoke with my advisor, I instantly felt self-assured and confident to navigate the campus. Many astonishing memories like these last a lifetime.
I am proud of myself for accomplishing a college education as a first generation student, a major in Communicative Disorders and a minor in Education. I am proud of myself for working hard towards my educational goals and believing in myself. I came to the realization that education opens opportunities to remarkable avenues in life. I constantly remained myself that consistency and dedication are the two major keys to accomplishing my dreams.

EOP help attain my current level of success by providing an amazing support system, advising, flexible tutoring hours, outreach, financial support, and workshops on different topics. In addition, EOP has become more like family; I can speak with my advisor or others about any personal and/ or educational concerns. EOP is life- changing.

EOP truly supports students, their guidance and consistency encourages students to never give up. This comprehensive program is design to see all students succeed. It is your time to shine!
