Valerie Cleary

EOP was the foundation of my college experience. Every college memory I have ties back to the relationships I made through participation in the program – from friends, my sorority, to campus jobs – it all centered in EOP.
I am extremely proud of being 1 of only 39 women who hold the position of an NCAA Division I Director of Athletics.

EOP at Chico State provided me with the support and motivation I needed to be the first in my family to attend and graduate from college. Through the guidance and encouragement of the staff, I earn a master’s degree to allow me to pursue a career in student affairs to help students in their journey of higher education.

It is not an easy road, but a journey well worth it! Graciously accept the support system gifted to you through EOP and be sure to aim high!
