Thinking about EOP, the story that comes to mind is the journey to success with many failures before success. The story contains more failures than successes because the failures build you as a person, preparing you to become a successful person.
One accomplishment that signals myself as an EOP Student Achiever is that I made it into the program and I am using the resources as much as possible to help me with what I need. Without EOP, my journey would have been a lot more difficult and possibly, I’d be lost without it. My EOP Advisor has helped me so much in my education, whether it is moral support or academic planning. The moral support helps a lot of students as each of us are possibly at a low point in academics or just life in general.
My words of wisdom for new EOP students is that resources and help are always available to you, but it is your responsibilities to reach out to them. Do not be afraid to expose yourself for help because in the end, you would have wished you reached out today!
