When I think of EOP I think about the program, the staff, and the student mentors who support the students. I also think of the environment it has for students to study, a place dedicated for them.
The first memory that I have of the program is the Transfer orientation that has held on August 2016. I remember when I met Berj, Uriberto and Amanda – the student mentors. They made me feel welcomed in ,my now home, Cal State Monterey Bay.
One of my greatest accomplishments is passing my courses successfully. I have put all my dedication since the day I walked into campus. EOP has helped me gain discipline in my studies. It helped me prioritize my tasks and being aware of my assignments, making sure that I would do them on the due date. I also learned how to follow up on important dates.
Some words that I would share with other EOP students is be open to the support of the program. EOP has a lot of resources and it will make a difference in your academic career for the rest of your lives.
